Overview
A Wider Measurement Range, Powered by Vision
Equipped with a Global Shutter image sensor, the LPC series captures moving lines clearly and without blur, then uses the captured image to simultaneously measure line position and contrast position. It achieves ±0.01mm repeatability across a ±10mm field of view (FOV).
A built-in, brightness-adjustable LED light allows measurement without external illumination, and a 4-20mA current output is supported for reduced noise compared to voltage output. The MLS-OP-E operator panel features a color touch display for viewing live footage and setting reference points via Teach Mode, and connects to upstream systems via industrial Ethernet protocols such as EtherCAT, ProfiNet, and CAN.
Scanning Modes
Scanning References Set via Teach Mode
Set the guiding reference below in the operator panel's Teach Mode, and the sensor automatically scans for the closest matching shape.
Edge Scanning
Detects the boundary between a dark line on a bright background or a bright line on a dark background (White↔Black) to scan edge position.
Contrast Scanning
Scans position based on the contrast between a dark line on a bright background or a bright line on a dark background.
Center / Broken-Line Scanning
Scans the center between two lines, or continues scanning without losing track through broken line sections.
